One of the worst things that you can do to a child is treat them in a negative way and then tell them that You Love Them afterwards.
People only do this in an attempt to ease their own guilt but it is incredibly damaging for any young person.
Not only are you causing a great deal of confusion to your child, but you are also forcing them to have the perception that bad behaviour is the correct way to show somebody that you love them.
